This semester is really fantastic for me as I meet new friends whom I am going to share with. During this semester, I have already prepared a course outline in which it is intended to give you a glimpse description of our lecture and also our estimated date of the meeting. Kinds of Clauses

To start our discussion, I’d like to share you kinds of clauses in which it is expected that you can identify and make your own independent and dependent clause. Please click this material so that you’ll have much better understanding in line with kinds of clauses especially independent and dependent clause.

Clause Connectors

To extend further your ability, in this meeting we will go further on how to connect the clauses to form a grammatical, logical sentence. This sub material is another important element of writing since it will enable you to combine different kinds of clauses by using different kinds of clause connectors. Punctuation

The act of punctuating the idea that we want to express in written form, punctuation, is really important in writing as it will give our reader a better understanding to catch the message that we intend to convey. Punctuation is not such difficult to be understood, for we only need to know how to write in standard punctuation. Please download this material.

Kinds of Sentences

Why is your paragraph uninteresting? What makes it monotonous? The answers to these questions might be, as simply we say, the variety of our sentences. The result of your pre-test obviously confirmed that you are unconsciously dominated by the use of simple sentences. Hence, to avoid that kind of writing, we will discuss kinds of sentences based on the type and number of clause/s used in the sentence. It is expected that it will provide you with enough room to express your ideas in different kinds of sentences.

Paragraph

We have already discussed some features which are of necessary to compose a good paragraph. We have already shared about kinds of clauses, clause connectors, punctuation and kinds of sentences. These features are expected to provide you much more writing aspects so that you can write a much better paragraph than the previous pre-test paragraph. However, understanding the aforementioned features will not enough if you want to write a good paragraph. Therefore, in this meeting will discuss further on how to write a good paragraph. Logical Division of Ideas Paragraph

In the previous meeting, we have already discussed about the necessary characteristics of a good paragraph. We, however, have not yet discussed about how to organize the ideas into a unified and coherent paragraph. Thus, in this meeting, we will discuss about one of the ways of organizing the ideas into a paragraph, logical division of ideas. Please find the attached material.
